Mi Casa Taste & Tango Argentina Fundraiser and Silent Auction – 1/21/2012
The Hippie Limo may be off the road until the upcoming 2012 season (May 1 – October 1), but our Samba is still on the information super highway, which means we always get calls from interested clients and fundraisers. Just before Christmas I was contacted by Blythe Hawthorne-Loizeaux at Mi Casa Resource Center in Denver to see if we would be interested in donating a package to their Taste & Tango Argentina fundraiser and silent auction. Mi Casa has a 35-year history of helping Latino families achieve financial independence through business development assistance, career training, and youth and family programming. Blythe told me that in 2011 Mi Casa served nearly 1,700 people, which was more than double the number it served in 2008, and that they were expecting to help even more individuals this year. The frantic rush of the holidays kept me from getting back to Blythe quickly, but once the dust settled after New Years I called Blythe and offered Mi Casa a Magical Mystery Tour package for their silent auction.
Please join Mi Casa for its Taste & Tango Argentina, an evening of Argentinian wine, food, and dancing on Saturday January 21, 2012 from 6 to 9pm at the Warwick Hotel in Denver. The menu has been created by Hosea Rosenberg of Blackbelly Catering and season five winner of Bravo TV‘s Top Chef, and the evening is co-hosted by Denver restaurant reviewer the Gabby Gourmet. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Nancy Freimuth at 303.539.5609 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
