2011 End of Season Wrap Up

It’s time to put the Hippie Limo away until good weather and the wedding season returns next year in April 2012. We had a great first season of business, full of learning experiences and fun. We will tell you a bit about what we did below.

Benefits & Fundraisers

By far our biggest work was done for non-profit and not-for-profit organizations in arts & culture, advocacy & support, and healthcare. We donated 16 Magical Mystery Tour packages worth almost five-thousand dollars and look forward to redeeming every one of them. Winners, keep in mind that the packages donated in 2011 do expire at the end of our 2012 season. Weddings & Commitments

Our favorite activities are weddings and commitments, and this year saw us doing three, two at Boulder’s Sunrise Amphitheater and one at Boulder’s Chautauqua Park. Each of the couples had their own ways of celebrating their unions, and we salute their creativity as well as their extreme good taste in including the Hippie Limo ;-). Day or Night on the Town

These events fall into our Special Occasions category. We had five evenings out this year for groups and couples. The wildest (and loudest) by far was a 60th birthday party and the most romantic was for a couple who honored us by making us a part of their twice yearly date night. An award for the strangest goes to the trip to Red Rocks to see Willie Nelson. The riders themselves were pretty normal, but the wait in the parking lot during the concert yielded some interesting stories. Click Day or Night on the Town in the What We’re Up To Tag Cloud at the bottom of the right sidebar to learn more.

Parades & Shows

Our final major events included parades and shows. We were lucky enough to be part of north-central Colorado’s biggest car show, the Wild West Auto Roundup, as well as the all-VW show Volkswagens on the Green. Parades were another big item on the list, and though we missed out on the Buffalo Bill’s Day parade this year (we hope to be there in 2012) we were part of local parades and car shows in Louisville and Lafayette. We also did our first bridal shows in the hopes of letting more happy couples know about us. Click Parades & Shows in the What We’re Up To Tag Cloud at the bottom of the right sidebar to learn more.
