Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center Annual Dinner and Silent Auction – 5/5/2011
The Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center’s stated mission is “to protect and save the lives of abused and neglected children through zealous legal advocacy, innovative programs and public policy reform.” To paraphrase their website’s further description of services, the RMCLC helps children navigate the legal system while also providing them with mental health and educational resources to address their personal and educational needs.
Movies and television have done a good job of both vilifying and lauding the efforts of such organizations, but their mission goes beyond the portrayals. Children are among the most vulnerable and unempowered groups across the world, and in the absence of supportive and loving parents, they need other resources to help them grow to be secure, loving, and productive adults and members of society.
The Hippie Limo is proud to have the opportunity to donate one of its Magical Mystery Tour rides to the RMCLC’s Annual Dinner and Celebration. Here is yet another chance to support a worthy cause while also enjoying a special ride in our Wayback Machine.
